Hard Rock Hotels launches in-room yoga sessions

Hard Rock Hotels is expanding its wellness offering with the launch of the Rock Om initiative, in partnership with yoga equipment brand Manduka.

Rock Om, which launched yesterday, is the most recent addition to Hard Rock Hotels’ Sound Body wellness programme. It takes the format of in-room yoga sessions.

Designed to “energise body and soul through the power of music,” the yoga sessions have been created in collaboration with DJ Drez. Set to music by Dj Drez and his wife and collaborator Marti Nikko, there are three Rock Om sessions to choose from.

Zenith aims to help guests unwind with the aid of breathing techniques and meditation, Zepplin is a high-energy vinyasa flow session, while Zen features classic flow movements to recharge and reset.

The classes, available via the Hard Rock TV system, are available at all existing Hard Rock hotels, and will also be introduced at upcoming properties.

On-site yoga classes will also be introduced at a limited number of Hard Rock hotels.

Both online and on-site sessions are, Hard Rock said in a statement, “designed to deliver a customised yoga experience, allowing guests to refresh, rejuvenate and reenergise the mind, body and spirit”.

Dale Hipsh, senior vice president of Hard Rock Hotels, said: “We are thrilled to team up with powerhouses like Manduka and DJ Drez to offer guests the highest quality of yoga experience."

Hard Rock Hotels guests are also able to order an in-room yoga kit created specifically for the Rock Om programme, either before arrival or once they’re at the property.

The kit features a Prolite yoga mat from Manduka, a Go Play yoga mat carrier bag, and a Yogitoes towel, also by Manduka.

The towel features motives inspired by the region of that particular Hard Rock property. The yoga mat and carrier bag are provided free of charge while Cathy Quain, president of Manduka, said:

“The Rock Om programme is the perfect blend of our trusted premium yoga equipment and the graphic, modern design aesthetic for which Hard Rock is known.

“This collaboration inspires Hard Rock guests to practice yoga anywhere their travels take them."
