Rosewood Puebla opens in Mexico
The Rosewood hotel group has announced the addition of a new property to its portfolio, the Rosewood Puebla in Mexico.
Facilities at the hotel, which features 78 rooms and suites and is located in the historic centre of Puebla City – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – include Sense, A Rosewood Spa.
The 126sq m spa features three treatment rooms and a manicure/pedicure area, among other features.
The spa concept is centred on a fusion of Hispanic and pre-Hispanic traditions in the city, founded more than 480 years ago, including local herbology expertise.
Treatments and experiences on the spa menu include the 60-minute Volcano Mud Cure, drawing inspiration from the four volcanoes that surround Puebla City.
The treatment incorporates a body scrub using ashes from the nearby Popocatepetl volcano, a mud warp with volcanic mud and the herbs rosemary and Melissa, and a herbal pack massage with tepezcohuite (Mexican tree bark) body butter.
The Sense spa menu also features a series of journeys lasting between two and four-and-a-half hours, including the four-hour Rejuvenating Journey.
The experience comprises a 60-minute yoga or stretch class, and a body treatment, Rejuvenating Facial and Essential Remedies Massage – all also lasting 60 minutes.
The spa menu also features a range of facials, massages and body treatments, as well as a mini collection of beauty treatments for young spa goers – from the age of 12 upwards.
Other facilities at Rosewood Puebla include a rooftop swimming pool, three restaurants and bars and indoor and outdoor meeting and events space.
The Rosewood group comprises high-end resorts around the world, including in the US, Canada, Bermuda, Antigua, Austria, Italy and the UK. The group also operates a further four properties in Mexico, in addition to Rosewood Puebla.
