Anantara Medjumbe Island opens

Anantara has opened a boutique property on the small Medjumbe Island, off the coast of Mozambique. The 12-villa property encapsulates just one kilometre of land, but provides a range of services and amenities.

The property, which is reached by 45-minute flight from the mainland, includes an Anantara Spa. Among the treatments on offer at the spa, located in a beachfront villa, is the Glacial Marble Massage, incorporating the use of cooling stones to help relieve stress.

Other treatments on the menu is the Moya Crystal Experience, featuring a salt poultice massage, a crystal gem massage and hair and scalp therapy, and the Me Time spa journey, personalised to the needs of the guest.

Guests at Anantara Medjumbe Island will also be able to enjoy watersports, including surfing, water-skiing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding, as well as diving among the coral reefs.

Food and beverage options at the boutique resort include the Jahazi seafood restaurant and the Bahari bar.
