Anantara opens new UAE resort

The most recent addition to the Thai hotel brand’s UAE property portfolio, the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Al Yamm Villa Resort opens on July 1.

Located on Sir Bani Yas Island outside the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, on which Anantara already operates the Desert Islands Resort & Spa property, the Al Yamm consists of 30 luxury villas.

Comprised of 21 one-bedroom villas, seven one-bedroom pool villas and two two-bedroom Annatara pool villas with private plunge pools, the development offers alternative island accommodation to guests looking for a more private holiday environment.

Found on the island’s eastern shore, 16 of the villas have views of the Arabian Sea, with the remaining 14 overlooking a lagoon surrounded by mangroves.

Services and facilities at the resort, which has been designed in accordance with sustainable design principles and with the objective of blending in naturally with the island environment, will include two exercise rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, yoga classes and a mini spa.

In addition to access to the main spa at Desert Islands Resort & Spa, two double treatment rooms will also be available within the Al Yamm complex. The villas will also feature a salon offering manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments.

Dining options for Al Yamm guests will include Italian restaurant Olio, offering all-day dining, a bar and a lounge, as well as the five additional restaurants located on the island.

Al Yamm guests will also be able to use the shared Anantara facilities and services on Sir Bani Yas Island, which include a tennis court, a kids and teen club, a water sports centre, nature and wildlife drives and walks and stables.
