Awards arrival

The winners of the 2015 World Spa & Wellness and Professional Beauty Awards are set to be revealed at a black-tie awards ceremony at The Brewery events venue in the City of London on Sunday February 22.

The World Spa & Wellness Awards honour the leading hotel, resort, residential and destination spas around the world, covering Eastern Europe, Western Europe & Scandinavia, the Middle East & Africa, Asia & Australasia and North & South America. 

As part of the in-depth judging process, each shortlisted spa has been visited by a mystery judge and an official judge, before deliberations by an international jury of senior spa and wellness industry professionals. Among the criteria judges look at are points of difference, signs of business innovation, excellent customer service standards, and evidence of marketing plans and retail strategies. 

Previous World Spa & Wellness Awards winners include Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa Resort in Thailand, Lapinha Spa in Brazil, Clinique La Prairie in Switzerland, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental Singapore, Shuiqi Spa and Fitness at Atlantis the Palm, Dubai in the UAE and the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa at The Yeatman in Portugal. 

The winners of the 2015 Professional Beauty Awards, open to UK spas, salons and industry professionals, will also be unveiled on the night.

Categories in these awards include Beauty Salon of the Year: Four rooms or more, Beauty Salon of the Year: Three rooms or fewer, Residential Spa of the Year: 10 rooms or fewer, Residential Spa of the Year: 11 rooms or more, Therapist of the Year, Nail Professional of the Year, Employer of the Year and Medical Aesthetic Clinic of the Year.
