Eden Hotel Collection acquires Bovey Castle
The Eden Hotel Collection has purchased country golf and spa resort Bovey Castle for an undisclosed sum.
The company now plans to invest £2 million in renovating and adding to to the property.
The hotel is in Dartmoor National Park and currently houses an 18-hole golf course and a spa, among other amenities.
Eden Hotel Collection managing director Mark Chambers said: “Restoring this iconic hotel and its estate is an exciting project for our team. Bovey Castle is a key acquisition for the group and will add to our existing properties in Somerset, Kingsbridge and now Salcombe.”
The acquisition of Bovey Castle closely follows the Eden Hotel Collection’s purchase of the 35-room Tides Reach Hotel in Salcombe, south Devon, in April.
The hotel group plans to invest £13.5m in transforming the Tides Reach Hotel into a 50-room beachfront hotel and spa.
