Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa opens in India

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened its first leisure property in India, the Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa.
Located in the Sahyadri Mountains in the Western Ghats region, the eco-focused retreat occupies 129 hectares of the 1,400 hectare Shillim Estate and is the 11th hotel operated by the hotel group in the country. The resort’s 99 villas include spa pool villas and presidential pool villas and are situated amongst forests, rice fields and bamboo plantations.
The spa at the resort, the Shillim Spa, is one of the largest in Asia, spanning 28 hectares and offering more than 150 treatments, including Ayurveda, Reiki, fire healing, tai chi, Watsu, meditation, yoga, acupressure and naturopathy. Among the facilities at the spa are a yoga pavilion, a meditation cave, a heated outdoor pool and a spa restaurant, as well as a sauna, steam room, outdoor hot tubs and outdoor hydrotherapy tubs.

Other amenities at the hotel include a variety of dining options, ranging from Asian to Mediterranean. In addition to the six restaurants, bars and lounges on the premises, guests can also avail of a number or private dining options.
The Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa also features a butler service and one of the largest wine cellars in India and houses the Shillim Institute, established to help preserve the cultural and environmental heritage of the Western Ghats and hosting sustainability focused programmes and discussions.
