Hilton announces first Baltic property

Hilton Hotels & Resorts is branching into the Estonian market with its first Baltic state property, set to open in Tallinn in 2016. The new hotel will contain 202 rooms and suites and will be located near the Estonian capital’s medieval old town, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Amenities at the hotel will include a spa, an indoor pool, a sun terrace, fitness facilities and a business centre. There will also be a number of dining options on the premises, including an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar and a private dining room.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development for Europe and Africa at Hilton Worldwide, said: “We are delighted to announce our expansion into the Baltic region. Hilton Tallinn is an example of the brand expanding in capital cities and popular destinations around the region.”

The Hilton group currently operates 250 properties around the world, 152 of which are located in Europe, with more than 130 new hotels in development.
