Internationally recognised training for next generation aesthetic treatments offered by Academy of Advanced Beauty
Academy of Advanced Beauty is a small specialist school aimed to help beauty therapists improve their skills and master some of the new techniques that have only recently become possible with advances in technologies until recently reserved strictly for medical applications.
The Academy was founded by Barbara Freytag, a medically trained radiographer who retrained as a beauty therapist and then realised that new technologies were coming to market much faster than the understanding of the technology and dangers implicit in their wrong application of the beauty therapists expected to operate the machinery.
The foremost of these new technology applications is Ultrasound. Back in her radiographer days, Barbara operated the Ultrasound scanner as part of one of Poland’s very few heart transplant teams - now that technology has found applications in beauty therapy for skin rejuvenation and even more recently in non-invasive fat reduction.
Barbara will be taking part in the BABTAC seminar at Professional Beauty London on 24&25 February at the ExCel, demonstrating the potential of ultrasound treatment, highlighting some of the associated dangers lying in wait for the client when treated by an untrained operative.
Academy of Advanced Beauty courses are accredited, either by CIBTAC with their internationally recognised certification or the Guild of Beauty Therapists and qualify for their insurance programs.
