Jumeirah Group opens China’s first Talise Spa

Dubai-based hotel group Jumeirah has taken its signature spa concept to China for the first time, with the launch of the Talise Spa at the five-star Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai in September.

Treatments offered at the spa include the indulgent Arabian Gold Bliss treatment, with components such as a gold and pearl body exfoliation and a hammam steam shower and the Impressions of the Himalayas, a balancing and replenishing treatment based on traditional Chinese therapies.

The treatment menu also features facials using products by French marine cosmetics brand Phytomer and massages with essential oils from Austrian natural cosmetics manufacturer STYX.

The spa has three treatment suites, the Shanghai Suite, the Himalayas Suite and the Dubai Suite, all equipped with private showers, steam rooms and whirlpool baths.

Other amenities include a relaxation lounge and a Talise Spa menu, with smoothies, juices and other health conscious offerings.

Guests at the spa, created in keeping with Chinese feng shui principles, also have free access to the hotel fitness centre, open 24-hours.
