Langham Place, Guangzhou opens in China

The Langham Hospitality group has opened its eighth hotel in China, the Langham Place, Guangzhou. The 22-storey property features 500 rooms and was designed by award-winning architect Aedas, with work by local and international artists displayed throughout.

The hotel includes the Chuan Spa, which features six treatment rooms - including two for couples - a contemplation lounge, a dream room and additional relaxation spaces. Other facilities include sauna and steam rooms, an indoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness centre.

The spa treatment menu, centred around the five elements, uses the principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and include massages, facials, body wraps and hand and foot therapies.

Brett Butcher, chief executive officer at Langham Hospitality, said the hotel group was: “delighted to officially open and introduce the Langham Place brand in this dynamic city". The hotel offers a variety of dining options, with a selection of fine-dining restaurants and an open-air Sky Bar offering panoramic views of the city.
