Shangri-La opens second Shanghai property

Shangri-La has opened its second hotel in Shanghai, the 508-room Jing An Shangri-La, West Shanghai. Located in the 450,000sq m mixed-use Jing An Kerry Centre, the hotel’s guestrooms occupy the 30th to 59th floors of the 60-storey building.
The hotel features four bars and restaurants: Chinese restaurant Summer Palace, the 1515 West, Chophouse & Bar – serving American cuisine against an Old Shanghai film theme backdrop – the two-level Café Liang & Mezzanine and a Mediterranean restaurant, set to open shortly.
The 55th floor Horizon Club Lounge, to which guests staying in the Grand Premier rooms and suites have access, is the largest club lounge in the Shangri-La collection, spanning the length of the floor and offering panoramic views of the city.
Health and fitness facilities at the hotel include Chi, The Spa, with treatments comprising the reflexology, hot stone, rescue release and balance Chi signature massages. Hotel health club amenities include a gym, a whirlpool, a steam room and sauna and a 25m pool.
The hotel also houses an extensive art collection with 207 pieces by 50 artists from around the world.
