Topical industry issues headline the Professional Spa & Wellness Convention

Marketing, social media, HR and retailing are some of the topics on the agenda at the Professional Spa & Wellness Convention this February. The convention returns to the annual Professional Beauty trade show at the ExCeL London exhibition centre on February 21-23.

The line-up of senior industry speakers includes Neil Orvay, chief executive of Asia Spa and Wellness, forming part of the spa marketing panel, Lopo Champalimaud, chief executive of beauty bookings website Wahanda, discussing successful social media strategies, Liz Holmes, spa director at Rockliffe Hall as part of the HR session and Susan Harmsworth, chief executive of Espa – speaking about spa and wellness trends.

Among the other speakers at the 2015 edition of the convention are Adam Glickman, head of wellness-focused Even Hotels, Kathryn Moore, group director of Spa for Asia at Mspa International, Justin Musgrove, commercial director for the Bannatyne Group and Jeff Matthews, president of Steiner Spa Consulting and chief operating officer of Mandara Spa.

The convention, which last year attracted over 350 delegates from the global spa and wellness industry, will also cover the phycology of buying, creating emotional engagement with guests and KPIs and benchmarking.

The event takes places as part of the Professional Beauty show, expected to attract more than 33,000 visitors over two days. The show will feature more than 700 exhibitors, including brands such as Elemis, Caci, Dermalogica, HD Brows, OPI, Phytomer and Thalgo.

Professional Beauty London will also feature the Warpaint Make-Up Competition and the International Nail Championship. New for this year are the Hair Professional and Organic & Natural Beauty shows within the show.
