UK-based beauty platform Wahanda has acquired Dutch bookings site Treatwell.

The £24 million ($US37m) purchase of Treatwell, which like Wahanda offers, beauty, hair, spa and fitness bookings, is the fourth such acquisition by the company since the autumn of 2014.

In October last year, Wahanda bought German bookings site Salonmeister, followed by the acquisition of Lithuanian app agency Lemon Labs in January this year and Austrian beauty site Beautycheck in April.

Treatwell, which launched in 2012, has 2,500 spas and salons across Holland, Belgium and Germany on its books.

Lopo Champalimaud, chief executive and founder of Wahanda (pictured left), said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Treatwell.

“The team comes with a wealth of talent, some of whom we have been fortunate enough to work with in the past.

Wahanda received a £30million ($US42m) investment from Recruit Holdings – which now holds a majority stake in the company – in May.

The business now has a presence in 10 countries, with further expansion planned in the next few months.
