Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa opens in Mauritius

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened the Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa in Mauritius. The hotel, which features 152 guest rooms and 38 suites, is the hotel group’s third property on the island.

Facilities at the resort, which is situated on 100 hectares of land, include a branch of in-house spa brand Heavenly Spa. Among the treatments on the menu is the Moonlit Massage for Two, the Himalayan Renewal Ritual, using red mud from the Himalayas, the Indian Heated Herbal Compress Massage and the Cooling Aloe Vera and Honey Wrap.

The hotel also features two swimming pools, tennis courts, a Westin Workout fitness studio, the RunWest experience, through which guests are provided with running maps of the local area, and the Westin Gear lending programme – lending guests the equipment they need to stay fit.

Amenities at the hotel also include 340sq m of meeting and events space, and a selection of food and beverage options ranging from Indian restaurant Kangan and the Beach Grill, to all-day dining restaurant Seasonal Tastes.

Brian Povinelli, global brand leader for Westin Hotels & Resorts and Le Meridien, said: “We are very proud to open this new resort in Mauritius, where we offer a respite from the rigours of daily life and will send guests home feeling much better and more revived than when they arrived.”
