Aman Resorts to open second property in Japan

Aman Resort has announced the opening of the Amanemu resort, located near the Ise Shima National Park in Japan on March 1.

The Amanemu, which will have its own hot spring, will feature 24 suites, four two-bedroom villas and a heated outdoor lap pool.

Wellness facilities at the resort will include a 2,000sq m Aman Spa featuring four treatment suites, two onsen (hot springs) bathing pavilions and a watsu suite. 

Other spa facilities will range from a hydrotherapy area with a sauna and steam room and an aqua movement suite for water treatments, to relaxation space, including a garden area and a lounge with an open fire.

Among the other spa amenities are a salon offering manicures, pedicures and other beauty services, a retail boutique, a fitness centre, a yoga studio and an outdoor yoga deck. 

Treatments at the spa will incorporate the use of local products, including Japanese herbs and oils. The resort will also have a bar and lounge, a restaurant and library.
