Anantara opens third property in China

Anantara has opened its third resort in China, the Emei Resort & Spa. Located in south-western China, the 150-room property features 90 guest rooms, 40 pavilions and 20 villas. 

Amenities at the hotel include an Anantara Spa, comprising three treatment rooms, three treatment suites and facilities that include separate beauty salons for men and women, as well as a nail area.  

Among the treatments on the spa menu is the Emei Retreat experience, incorporating the Hydrating Pu-Erh Tea Body Scrub, the Lingzhi Bath ritual with ginger, the Purifying Pu-Erh Tea Body Wrap with white clay and vitamin E and the Exotic Bamboo Massage.

Other wellness facilities and services at the resort include a pool and whirlpool, both outdoors, a tennis court and yoga and thai chi classes. Food and beverage options range from an all day dining restaurant and the lobby lounge to the swim-up pool bar and a wine cellar. 

The opening of the Emei Resort & Spa follows the opening of the first Ananatara resort in China, the Anantara Sanya Resort & Spa in November 2012, and a second, the Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa, in January 2013. 

A further five Anantara properties are currently in development in various locations across China.
