Ava Spa opens at Four Seasons Hotel Prague

The Ava Spa has opened at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague.

The spa takes its name from the Celtic word for water, “ava” and comprises five treatment rooms.

The treatment rooms are named after five nearby rivers: the Vltava, Morava, Otava, Litava and Svitava. The Vltava is a couple’s suite that features its own rhassoul and bath and offers views over the river from which it takes its name.

The spa also offers a sauna and steam room, a vitality pool with massage jets and a waterfall, and a relaxation room. The spa’s brand partners are Swiss Perfection, which its the first Czech spa to work with, Hungarian brand Omorovicza and Australian Sodashi.

The menu offers a combination of facials, massages, body treatments, treatments for men, beauty services, and more.

Spa manager Claudia Santos said: “What makes Ava Spa unique to Prague is our select line of cosmetics and signature treatments. We are especially proud of our spa rituals, which include purifying baths, detoxifying massages and age-defying facials.”

The spa’s treatment USPs include traditional Czech healing baths with aromatherapy oils and flower petals, and a series of signature treatments.

The 30-minute Karlovy Vary Inspiration incorporates a bath in waters from the town of Karlovy Vary, long thought to have detoxifying and purifying properties due to its high potassium, magnesium, calcium and mineral content.

Also among the signature rituals is the three-hour Signature Detox, including a rhassoul steam bath, Sodashi Marine Mineral Body Scrub and a contouring pink clay mask.

There is also the two and a half hour Golden Ritual, an Omorovicza treatment including a body scrub, bath, Gold Body Massage and Gold Lifting Facial.

The spa, which draws inspiration from local wellbeing traditions, was designed using natural colours and materials.
