Babor North America names new president and COO

Skincare brand Babor has appointed Mark Wuttke its new president and chief operating officer for North America.

Wuttke brings many years’ experience of the spa and wellness sectors and previously held positions with skincare brands Amala, Jurlique and Primavera, among others. 

In his new role with Babor, Wuttke will focus on strengthening Babor’s brand positioning within the North American spa market. 

Michael Schummert, global chief executive of Babor, said:” “Mark will help us further nurture growth, as he works alongside the global leaders of our businesses, leveraging his strategic skills and sharing his deep knowledge of the market.”

North America, covering the US, Canada and the Caribbean, is a key market for the German brand, which moved into a new US head office in Delray Beach, Florida last year.

The new head office comprises a training academy and a distribution centre, among other facilities. Schummert said:

“North America is one of our most important and most dynamic markets, just behind our home market in Germany.”
