Beauty Backed launch raffle to support industry after Covid-19

Beauty Backed Trust’s summer raffle is aiming to raise funds for the Beauty Backed Grant Programme, launching in September this year.

There are 50 Scamp and Dude goodie bags filled with £250 worth of product up for grabs, while five lucky golden ticket winners will have the opportunity to have a masterclass with a number of industry professionals.

The five winners will win either a virtual skincare consultation with co-founder and chair of the Trust, Caroline Hirons, or a virtual skincare consultation with skin health specialist, Dija Ayodele, founder of West Room Aesthetics. The other prizes include a virtual masterclass with make-up artist Lisa Potter-Dixon, as well as a virtual blow dry masterclass with hairdresser Errol Douglas or a virtual tanning session with celebrity fake tanner, Jules Von Hep.

Beauty Backed was originally launched as a fundraising initiative in August 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, raising over £600,000 for the Hair and Beauty Charity to support the industry during lockdown. Following the success of the launch, the Trust was formed in March 2021.

The Trust aims to provide a means to support everyone in the beauty industry, by providing grants, mentorships, and masterclasses with a focus on education, women in business and industry values.

Entries to the raffle are £10 each, or three for £20, and are available from BeautyBacked.com until midday today (August 20). Winners will be picked at random during an Instagram Live on Monday 23rd August 2021 at @beautybacked

Beauty Backed launched a Back to Work campaign earlier this year to help salons reopen.

The initiative also launched a sister campaign, Back Beauty, to encourage clients to support salons during lockdowns.
