Beauty lodge opens at Gleneagles

Scotland’s celebrated Gleneagles hotel has opened a new beauty lodge, Bob & Cloche, on its premises.

Located in the former gate lodge, close to the main hotel building, the beauty lodge draws design inspiration from the Art Deco architecture and décor of the 1920s.

The name similarly has its roots in the 1920s, with Bob being a nod to the women’s haircut most associated with the decade.

Meanwhile Cloche, meaning hat in French, refers to the closefitting 1920s hat created by French milliner Caroline Reboux.

Bob & Cloche facilities include treatment rooms, a nail bar, a pedicure room, hairstyling room, relaxation area and dressing room.

The relaxation area has been designed to resemble and an old-school drawing room, with velvet sofas and open fire.

In keeping with the 1920s theme, the dressing room includes vintage drinks trolleys and velvet chaise lounges, among other features.

Other design elements at the lodge include leather armchairs and gold-framed mirrors.

Treatments offered at Bob & Cloche range from facials, makeup services and manicures and pedicures, to waxing and hair treatments – including, cuts, colour and blow dries.

The beauty lodge is working with skincare brand Oskia, mineral label Jane Iredale for makeup, OPI for nails and Kerastase for hair.
