Have your say on the beauty industry's new National Occupational Standards

Habia/Skills Active UK is inviting the profession to help shape the new National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Beauty Therapy, Nails, Wellbeing & Holistic (Spa) and Advanced Aesthetics by taking part in the consultation review.

The standards-setting body needs assistance in reflecting, further developing and shaping these proposed draft NOS standards, asking employers in the industry to answer the questions within the consultation survey.

The idea is to make sure the standards for each sector meet the needs of employers, educators and learners.

There are different surveys for the four different NOS’s – Beauty Therapy, Nails, Wellbeing & Holistic (Spa) and Advanced Aesthetics – and you can submit your views on these until January 7, 2021.

The surveys for each will take approximately 20–30 minutes to fill in.

During these unprecedented times brings an increased necessity to do what we can to ‘support’ and ‘future-proof’ businesses and safe practices,” says Habia/Skills Active.

“Over the past few months, we’ve worked with teams of industry experts to develop the draft National Occupational Standards, creating a robust and coherent set of standards in light of ‘new ways of working’. We would now like your views on what is being proposed.

The NOS project is due to conclude in March 2021, following which the new NOS’s will be made available.
