The Santa Catalina Island Company has announced the opening of its first spa, set to open next month. The 1,394sq m Island Spa Catalina will feature nine treatment rooms and draw inspiration from the history of the island – located off the coast of California.
The spa, which will incorporate natural ingredients local to the region – such as yarrow sea salt – into treatments, will have amenities ranging from a nail salon, a spa café and a retail shop to a wellness studio, an outdoor deck and a soaking pool.
Among the treatments on the menu will be the island-inspired Catalina Classic Botanical Massage and the Sea of Life Facial. Services at the nail salon will include manicures and pedicures, makeup lessons and hair treatments.
Other facilities at the spa will include experience showers, a sauna, an eucalyptus steam room and a wellness studio. Open only to spa guests, the spa café will serve healthy dining options that will include a wild salmon salad and fresh juices and wheat grass shots.
