Champneys Tring gears up for relaunch following refurbishment
Residential spa group Champneys is preparing to reveal the refurbishment of its flagship location in Tring.
The company is set to reveal the result of the multi-million pound refurbishment in October. New additions will include a detox and wellbeing centre with hydro pool and a medical and wellbeing centre with private GP service.
The existing boutique, shop and restaurant have been overhauled and the gardens, set in 170 acres of parkland, improved. The thalassotherapy relaxation area has also been revamped and the bedrooms in the hotel upgraded.
Also part of the refurbishment, Champneys has announced a new partnership with marine spa brand Thalgo. The spa will carry the brand’s retail products and add its treatments, which use algae extracts, to the menu.
“Champneys are the original spa pioneers and Thalgo is the original marine spa brand, pioneer of the thalassotherapy technique, so we share a very similar philosophy,” commented Stephen Purdew, owner of Champneys Health Spas. “We wanted a brand which offers results as well as relaxation and Thalgo was the obvious choice. We are very excited to be putting Thalgo in the new spa.”
