The renowned Thai health resort is undergoing the third of four remodeling phases following the launch of the Ocean Rooms and Suites in January 2017.

The Thai Pavilions, Emerald Room, Orchid Lounge, Library, Fitness Centre and Niranlada Medi-Spa will have a complete overhaul in a bid to make them more contemporary and comfortable while keeping the quintessential Thai spirit intact.

The Thai Pavilions will become brighter, lighter and more spacious and a new room category, the Thai Pavilion Suite, will feature an outdoor pantry and its own outdoor private glass-walled sala, a private space for around six guests set amids tranquil gardens where they can take private meals or meditate.

Elsewhere, the Emerald Room will have a new glass wall to flood it with natural light and The Orchid Lounge will undergo a complete makeover to become an spot in which guests can interact, complete with pond-side seating next to a new open juice bar.

The Fitness Centre will increase in size to incorporate a larger gym area and a separate stretching space with new cardio equipment, functional and non-functional training equipment and a private training room.

The Kinesis Room will be renamed the Re-functional Studio, and will be home to a private Neurac Room and Functional Assessment room.

In the Niranlada Medi-Spa, the new consultation room will provide greater privacy during body assessments and there will be a make-up room added.

The resort will reopen on November 1 2018 and while it is closed, Chiva-Som specialists will share their expertise through a series of short videos, called Talking Wellness, via the resort’s website, YouTube channel and Facebook page.

The fourth and final phase of works at Chiva-Som will take place at the same time next year.
