Corinthia Hotels taps into kids’ wellness with bespoke treatment menu
Corinthia Hotels is tapping into the kids’ wellness trend by launching a menu of spa treatments for children.
Treatments for mini VIPs have been launched at two of the hotel group’s key sites – the Lisbon hotel’s Spa and Wellness Club and the Apollo Day Spa inside the St George’s Bay site in Malta.
The children’s spa in Lisbon is for boys and girls aged four to 12 years old and the menu includes treatments such as a Mini Manicure, Unicorn Massage, Superhero Foot Massage, Warrior Back Massage and Doll’s Face Facial.
There’s also a Mummy & Me/Daddy & Me package in the Spa Suite, which includes a bubble bath, back massage and mini facial.
The Spa Kids Menu in Malta is for boys and girls aged eight years and above and includes treatments such as an Acne Attack Facial, Fancy Fingers Manicure, Mother & Daughter Paradise Massage, Father & Son Chill-Out Massage, and Dream Spa Party – which includes a drink, robe, manicure, pedicure, facial, massage and use of indoor pool.
Corinthia is the latest in a line of spas tapping into the trend of mindfulness for children, especially after the seventh Global Wellness Day shone a light on wellness being a focus in schools to help crack down on depression rates.
Chia Laguna, Italian Hospitality Collection’s five-star family resort, has recently launched a series of Mini Mindfulness activities to encourage kids to relax and disconnect from digital devices, which includes yoga, al-fresco painting, smoothie-making and homemade spa treatments.
Meanwhile, in the UK, Rachel Powell opened a kids-only beauty salon Kandy Girl last year, offering a wide range of treatments for children aged three to 16 years old.
