Debate to be held in Westminster on regulation of aesthetic treatments

A debate will be held at Westminster Hall tomorrow over the regulation of non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

The debate will be put forward by Conservative MP Alberto Costa of the South Leicestershire constituent and will take place from 11-11:30am.

Professor David Sines, chair of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP), said he hopes the debate will “move these matters forward and enable others to share and better understand the need for further and enhanced regulation in the sector to assure public protection.”

This debate follows a discussion during the topical debate programme Prime Minister’s Questions last month where Prime Minister Theresa May listened to concerns about the need for regulation within the market.
