Dentist launches new medical aesthetics clinic

A new aesthetics clinic has opened in Southport, Merseyside, offering facial aesthetics treatments in a regulated environment. Applefield Aesthetics clinic opened last week within Applefield Dental Care.

Founder of the dental practice and qualified aesthetics practitioner Dr Charlotte Schofield had previously offered aesthetic treatments through salons around the Chester area, but decided to launch a dedicated facility within her own business.

Schofield said, “Dentists also have specialist knowledge about facial muscles and anatomy required for facial aesthetics. After all, it’s faces and smiles we deal with all day.”

The new clinic will offer such services as Botox, dermal fillers, lip enhancements and fruit peels, as well as teeth whitening. Schofield marked the launch of her new clinic with an event that welcomed members of the public to ask questions and see live demonstrations of the procedures on offer.
