Equinox opens new London club

Equinox, the popular chain of high-end fitness clubs, has opened a new location, in London.

Located in the heart of the city, the E St. James club features a strength floor, cardio zone, group fitness studio, private pilates studio and precision running zone, among other facilities.

Fitness classes offered at E St. James range from power yoga, abs classes, HIIT sessions, strength-focused classes, boxing bootcamp, meditation, and more.

The club also features a spa. Treatments on the menu include regenerative, cleansing and express facials and stone therapy, Thai and aromatherapy massages.

The spa menu also comprises a series of body treatments, including wraps and scrubs.

Among the results-driven treatment options are collagen and oxygen masks, AHA and BHA peels and Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy-Regulation (BEMER).

The latter is a therapy designed to regulate the flow of energy in the body. The spa is working with French skincare brand Caudalie and facial specialists Hydrafacial.

Gentry Long, managing director of UK operations for Equinox, said: “We're thrilled to introduce an elevated take on the private members' establishment with fitness at its core.

“London's health and fitness industry continues to thrive and there is an appetite for spaces where Londoners can truly commit to their health and wellbeing.”

Other facilities and amenities at the club include a café, steam room and sauna, and a complimentary laundry service for members. Equniox currently operates 92 fitness clubs across the US, Canada and the UK, including a club on Kensington High Street in London.

The company will also be expanding into hospitality in 2019, with the launch of Equinox Hotels.
