Espa Life at Corinthia to introduce new fitness and nutrition concept

Espa Life at Corinthia is to introduce Body Space, a new health, nutrition and fitness concept, in September.

Body Space is a collaboration between Stephen Price (left), co-founder of wellness company SP&Co, and fitness expert David Higgins.

The Body Space programmes are designed to improve sleep, raise energy levels, reduce stress, enable mindfulness, boost fitness, aid weight loss, build strength, and support rehabilitation – among other features.

The treatments to be offered at Espa Life at Corinthia are separated into four main categories: Technology and Science; Fitness Methods; Nutrition and Gut Health; and Fitness Therapies and Treatments.

The Technology and Science element will include components such as Firstbeat and Heartmath heart rate variability monitoring, to measure aspects such as exercise, stress and recovery.

The Fitness Method section will comprise five new Body Space programmes created by Price and Higgins, including the Transformation programme, Reformer strength and conditioning programme, and Kbox flywheel workouts.

Three nutritionists will offer their expertise under the Nutrition and Gut Health heading, including within areas such as gut health and the prevention of chronic illnesses.

The Fitness Therapies and Developments will range from performance optimisation treatments to the Normatec dynamic compression treatments, for reduced injury risk and speedier recovery time.

Espa founder Sue Harmsworth said of the partnership: "This is a wonderful evolution for Espa Life and our philosophy of creating next generation experiences. BodySPace is bringing a new, highly evolved fitness and nutrition offering which fits flawlessly within the existing Espa Life offering."

In June, Body Space also launched into the exclusive Kingwood development of luxury residences in London’s Knightsbridge area – part of the high-end Finchatton group. The launch of the offering at Espa Life at Corinthia in September will mark the first spa collaboration for the company.

Speaking on the formation of Body Space, Price said: “Through BodySPace we will offer the best scientifically and medically underpinned fitness, nutrition, pilates and transformational lifestyle programmes available today.”
