Expand your client reach online with Reserve with Google

Are you ready for this? Shortcuts, along with its partners at Google, have introduced a new way for your clients to book online, called Reserve with Google.

Here’s the deal. Soon guests will be able to book an appointment directly through Google when they search for your salon or spa. Salon software management brand Shortcuts explains why you should be excited…

1. People are already using Google to find you

There are more than 30 million hair and beauty searches on Google every quarter, with the number growing 23% each year. That’s some serious interest. Plus, the rise of voice search from things like Siri and Google Home means Google’s stronghold is here to stay.

So, if you know people are already searching for your business on Google, why not make it as easy as possible for them?

2. Less steps equals more bookings

We’ve long championed the benefits of online booking, but what if you could make it even quicker for your clients to snag an appointment with you? We’re not going to get all technical on you, but there’s something called the “Booking Gap” and chances are it’s affecting your business.

Essentially, the more hoops you make your clients jump through to make an appointment, the less likely they are to book. This is where Reserve with Google shines – it lets your guests book directly from a Google search or Google Maps, which means fewer steps for them and more bookings for you.

3. It's automatic

We know what you’re thinking. This all sounds like a lot of work, right? Wrong. Reserve with Google is totally integrated with your online booking and will sync automatically with your Shortcuts Appointment Book to ensure only available appointments are displayed on Google.

Before your guest receives a confirmation, Google will communicate with your appointment book to ensure there are no double bookings.

4. Own your local area, before someone else does

People like to shop local so use this to your advantage. More than 80% of your potential clients consult a search engine when looking for a local business. As your guests get comfortable with using Google to search for their next appointment, you should make sure your business stands out so they are more likely to book with you.

5. Your presence online is super important

Your online presence is often a potential client’s first impression of your brand. According to research by Google, seven out of 10 clients decide to visit a business based on the information they find online. Take advantage of this by expanding your online presence to include Reserve with Google – you won’t regret it.

Shortcuts is the leading salon software provider for the hair, beauty and male grooming industries.
