Florida's Palm Beach County kicks off its Spa & Wellness Month

Throughout the month of October, Palm Beach County in south east Florida – dubbed “America’s first resort destination” – will hold its third annual Spa & Wellness Month.

The destination-wide event will see resorts, hotels, spas, beauty salons and fitness centres across the 2,300sq m region invite visitors and locals alike to take part in “transformative” spa and wellness experiences.

A selection of spa treatments specially developed for Spa & Wellness Month include The Power of Pink Scrub at The Breakers Palm Beach, which includes a glass of rosé prosecco in a foot ritual and reflexology package, and the Glow & Bronze package at Cosmo and Co; a Fire & Ice Facial Treatment followed by application of a heat-infused airbrush tan.

Wellness events taking place over the month include a one-mile “fitness crawl” through Downtown West Palm Beach, whereby participants will stop at four fitness centres along the route for exercise sessions; and free yoga classes at Manatee Lagoon.

Hotels and restaurants in the region have also put together special offers. Wyndham Boca Raton’s Stay Well package “aims to optimise physical and emotional wellbeing when travelling.” Guests stay in specially designed Stay Well rooms, complete with an air purification system, aromatherapy options, circadian mood lighting and mattresses created for optimal back support and comfort. The package also includes a complimentary yoga pass and refreshments.

JuiceBuzz MRKT + Juicery has created a special Think Pink Smoothie that blends maca, strawberries, almond milk, vanilla protein and almond butter. Customers can also recieve 10% off any skincare product bought instore.

Organised as part of Spa & Wellness Month to honour Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Spatober will see a portion of proceeds from some of the spa offers donated to the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach.
