Expanded seminar agenda at Professional Beauty North
A new seminar programme, Skin is Alive, has been announced for the Professional Beauty trade show in September.
The Skin is Alive seminar programme has been added to the education agenda at the trade show for the beauty, spa and hair sectors, taking place at the Manchester Central exhibition centre on September 18-19.
Topics covered as part of Skin is Alive will include the future of skincare, focusing on the ingredients and innovations to watch; menopausal skin; the effects of stress on the skin; sun exposure and vitamin D deficiency; making radiofrequency profitable and interpreting clinical data – among others.
Other seminar programmes at Professional Beauty North include the Nutrition programme, also new and running on Sunday September 19. Among the topics on the agenda will be diet-induced skin ageing, gut health and its effect on appearance, boosting skin health with supplements and DNA testing for health and weight loss purposes.
The popular Business Skills, Salon Skills and Nail Skills programmes will also be offered at the show, alongside How To workshops on a range of subjects, from brows and waxing to massage techniques and male grooming.
This year will also see the inaugural Aesthetic Medicine North, following the success of its London-based sister event Aesthetic Medicine Live. Subjects addressed as part of the two-day programme will range from website skills and social media marketing, to managing complications and growing your aesthetic business.
Also new to this year’s Professional Beauty North is hair exhibition Salon North. An extension of the well-established Salon International in London, the event will feature a live stage and business, salon and salon owner seminar programmes.
This year’s Professional Beauty North will also include the Education forum for colleague heads and employers, and the North Nail and Warpaint Championship for some of the country's leading nail professionals and makeup artists.
Professional Beauty North, which last year attracted more than 15,000 visitors, annually draws some of the leading spa and beauty brands in the UK market, from industry sectors including skincare, furniture, machines and equipment, and linen and supplies – among others.
Brands and companies already confirmed for the exhibitor lineup include Crystal Clear, Daniel De Winter, Dermalogica, Elemis, Guinot, iiaa, Katherine Daniels, Eve Taylor, Exuviance, Heaven skincare, Moroccan Tan, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Simon and Jersey and many others.
