Extensive new spa to open at the Ye Olde Bell Hotel in the UK

A large-scale new spa has been announced at the 17th century Ye Olde Bell Hotel in South Yorkshire in the UK.

The 1,579sq m spa is set to open in the spring and will feature six treatment rooms, including a couple’s room, and 10 hot and cold experiences spread over two floors. Spa experiences will include a steam bath, salt cascade room, rasul, mineralising stone bath, herbal laconium, shower walk and Swiss pine sauna.

There will also be an indoor-outdoor hydrotherapy pool and the Sabbia Med Sunlight therapy – a sensory relaxation experience that takes guests from darkness via sunrise to sunset, while lying on a bed of warm sand.

The spa will also feature a “snow storm experience” custom-made for Ye Olde Bell and set to be the first of its kind in the UK.

Other facilities will include a haircare space and beauty treatments by LB Therapies, which has operated a beauty salon in the hotel for the past four years.

The spa will also comprise several relaxation rooms, an open fire, a bar and restaurant, its own garden and outdoor relaxation space.

Created in collaboration with consultancy and design firm Spa Vision, the spa will offer treatments and products by Spanish skincare brand Germaine de Capuccini and British makeup brand Delilah Cosmetics.

Spa director Sadie Ardron-Levack said: “We are thrilled about this new venture for Ye Olde Bell and have worked closely with our partners to create a luxurious space that takes our guests on a unique journey.

“We are passionate about understanding our guests and ensuring we provide a spa experience that is bespoke to them, whether this is relaxation, indulgence, wellbeing, invigoration or a combination of all four.”
