With a direct impact on the viability of the business, the design of your spa should be firmly rooted in a clearly defined concept and an acute understanding of your target clientele.

Any spa owner or director would agree that design is an integral part of the makeup of their spa. That creating a visually appealing environment that customers appreciate and will want to return to, is a key component of building a successful business.

Often, however, the focus is on the purely aesthetic, with insufficient consideration given to ensuring that the design also works for the spa on a practical level − that it allows for the efficient day-to-day running of the business.

But it is essential that it does and that design is viewed as fundamental to the spa concept from the outset, rather than as a cosmetic add-on to be considered at a later stage.
