Family-oriented holistic lifestyle club to open in Notting Hill, London
A high-end new lifestyle club targeting the whole family is scheduled to open in Notting Hill, West London, in April.
The privately owned Cloud Twelve Club will span three floors and 964sq m and blend spa, wellness, beauty and alternative medicine services and practises.
The members club will feature four single and one double treatment room, with facilities also including a thermal suite with sauna and steam room, a relaxation room, a manicure/pedicures station and a hair salon.
Amenities will also comprise a café serving “plant based” organic food, a cryotherapy chamber, vitamin infusion lounge, and colonic hydrotherapy suite.
There will also be two wellness rooms for alternative medicine treatments, including homeopathy, acupuncture, osteopathy, herbal medicine and naturopathic nutrition.
The Cloud Twelve spa and wellness concept is based on a holistic approach. Lisa Barden, director of the Barden Spa consultancy and vice chair of the UK Spa Association has consulted on the project.
Barden explained that the philosophy behind Cloud Twelve is: “A blend of holistic and scientific treatments, taking the best of Western and Asian philosophies”.
Designed to cater for the whole family, the club will feature a crèche and classrooms for music and art session for children.
Activities and features created for kids and families will also include science, cooking and mindfulness sessions for children, and a “magical forest” themed play area.
The treatment menu will include baby massage, and there will also be lactation and sleep consultants on hand for new mothers.
Barden explained that a focus on nature and the environment is core to the Cloud Twelve approach, reflected in aspects such as the choice of product houses.
“We have taken our time in carefully selecting our club partners as not only did they need to be aligned with our values but also share in our commitment to, wherever possible, use vegan products.
“We’re working with companies who have considered their impact on the planet and demonstrated their support of ethical and sustainable practices.”
Cloud Twelve product partners include natural brand Comfort Zone, whose range includes vegan products, and Organic Pharmacy, whom, Barden commented “practice fair trade and use only organic ingredients”.
The club will also be partnering with skincare brand Tri Dosha, which “ethically sources ingredients directly from the farms of India”.
The club’s membership structure will range from £1,200 a year for a wellness membership, and £2,000 for a family membership, incorporating benefits for both parents and children.
