Professional Beauty Awards comes to Ireland
Professional Beauty and Hairdressers Journal Ireland will be holding the first Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards this November, with an extended deadline on August 12 to submit entries by.
The awards invite both employers and individuals to put themselves forward for a range of awards covering hair, beauty, spa and aesthetics.
Categories for beauty professionals include:
Beauty Salon of they Year
To enter this category, you must not have any heat or water facilities such as saunas and pools (salons with steam, heat and water facilities should enter the Spa of the Year category).
Beauty Salon/Spa Team of the Year
The team is the backbone of any salon or spa business – this category celebrates teams of three or more, encompassing all relevant employees from reception and front of house to therapist and manager.
Digital Salon of the Year (Hair and Beauty)

Having thousands of followers on social media is one thing, but if you’ve turned your online presence into a thriving salon business, this is the category for you. Open to both hair salons and beauty salons
Make-up Artist of the Year
This category is for any make-up artist providing full make-up services who has been working in a salon or spa or as a freelance or mobile make-up artist.
Nail Salon of the Year
This category is for any salon in Ireland that advertises itself as doing mainly or exclusively nails or hand and foot services.
Spa of the Year

This category recognises exceptional spas. To enter this category, the spa must offer water and/or steam facilities (e.g. pool, hot tubs, steam room, sauna).
Therapist of the Year
sponsored by iTec/VTCT
This category is for any beauty therapist who has been working in a salon, spa, clinic or as a mobile therapist. Therapists who work from their own homes are eligible to enter.
Entrants are able to enter as many categories as they like, free of charge, and have until 5pm on August 12 to submit their entries.
The awards ceremony will be taking place on November 6 at The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin as we come together to celebrate the very best in the business, and acknowledge Irish beauty industry's achievements.
