Fishmore Hall Hotel to open the UK's first eco pod spa

Luxury boutique hotel Fishmore Hall in Shropshire is launching the UK’s first eco modular spa in October.

Designed by spa consultancy Spa Creator, it uses the latest pod-building technology (Spashell) to build a modular but luxurious spa to suit any hotel’s needs.

There are two modular pod size options available – one which offers four treatment rooms (which Fishmore Hall went for) and a central pod that includes back of house storage, a kitchen, lighting, hot water supply and under floor heating, and one which hosts eight treatment rooms.

The pod also comes with thermal suites as well as an outdoor vitality pool and bucket and monsoon showers.

Laura Penman, owner of Fishmore Hall, said: “For us, the development of a spa facility was the obvious next step in our development of Fishmore Hall. The beauty of Spashell is that it provides us with all the elements required to create a successful spa: from design and site development stages, through to delivery and commissioning.

"All the building work is being completed off-site so there’s almost no disturbance to the business or the guest."

Alistair Johnson, founder and managing director of Spashell, said: "The Spashell build offers a brilliant solution for any boutique hotel or corporate business looking to add spa and wellness packages to their business and provide an additional revenue stream."
