Global Wellness Institute partners with World Travel Market
The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) and World Travel Market (WTM) have announced a new international partnership.
The partnership will see the GWI organise the Wellness Symposium for the World Travel Market, as part of the WTM’s greater focus on wellness travel.
The agreement will launch with the Wellness Symposium at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai on April 24-27.
In 2016 the ATM introduced a Wellness and Spa Lounge, designed to connect spa and wellness buyers from the Middle East region with international suppliers.
Returning this year, the lounge will in 2017 feature buyers including Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, Veela Private Island and Sparkling Hill Resort in Canada, among others.
The partnership will continue at the World Travel Market in London on November 6-8, which will also feature a Wellness Lounge and Wellness Symposium.
Susie Ellis, chairman and chief executive of the GWI, said: “Wellness travel is not only growing twice as fast as tourism overall, it’s evolving in bold new directions, both globally and across the Middle East.
“Our mission will be to bring together the top experts and latest research and trends in this travel space to these events' tens of thousands of attendees.”
World Travel Market London and Arabian Travel Market senior director Simon Press commented: “I am delighted to be able to announce a strategic partnership with the Global Wellness Institute.
“The symposiums at both Arabian Travel Market and World Travel Market London will give delegates the vital information they need to take advantage of the popularity of wellness tourism and grow their businesses.”
