Guernsey’s St Pierre Park Hotel officially reopens renovated spa and health club

The health club and spa at Guernsey’s St Pierre Park Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has officially reopened following a £2.5 million renovation project.

The renovated spa now incorporates a new indoor pool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, a new steam room, a volcanic stone sauna and experience showers with body jets and mood lighting.

There is also a terrace with a heated outdoor pool, an outdoor shower, sun loungers and a seating area where food and drink can be served.The spa also features five treatment rooms, including one double, a relaxation room and a manicure/pedicure area.

Outdoor yoga classes are also held on the terrace. The health club at St Pierre Park, part of the Hand Picked Hotel group, has been expanded to include a cardio gym with a stretch area, a separate space for free weights and group cycling facilities.

Julia Hands, chairman and chief executive of Hand Picked Hotels, said: “This is an outstanding new facility for our members and our hotel guests, combined with the excellent level of service provided by our talented team at St Pierre Park.”

The health club now works with Matrix Fitness and is the first health club in the UK to offer the Matrix In-Trinity board classes. The classes incorporate the Matrix fitness board, designed, the company explained, to “build strength, balance, flexibility, coordination and agility”.
