High Definition's Nilam Holmes-Patel wins Yorkshire Women in Business Award

High Definition Beauty Group co-Founder and chief executive Nilam Holmes-Patel won the Woman of the Year SME Business (start-up to £10million turnover) Award at the UK's Barclays Yorkshire Women in Business Awards 2016.

The company has achieved revenue growth of 42% year on year, and Holmes-Patel was recognised for that achievement, alongside her constantly developing products and services.

Holmes-Patel has more than 20 years’ experience in the beauty industry as a brow stylist. She launched the company in 2008 as HD Brows and has grown it into a full-service beauty brand that also offers make-up and, more recently, nail services.

As well as supplying independent salons and retailers, the company now has it's own franchise salon group, as well as more than 150 retail products. Holmes-Patel said: “Being nominated in a category with such amazing and inspiring business women was an honour in itself.

"We are a female-driven business, and we aim to inspire women in the industry, helping them to start and progress in their own careers, mentoring them at each stage.

"I’m thrilled and honoured to have been awarded the Woman of the Year SME Business award. Thank you to my amazing team and all of our stylists, stockists and make-up artists; I couldn't do it without them."

High Definition managing director Joanne Kennedy added: “Nilam is, quite simply, a great advocate of British entrepreneurship, whose commitment to quality products and education is proven by more than 7,500 trained stylists around the UK – loyal to the High Definition brand – and Nilam.”
