The Banyan Tree group has opened its first property in southwest China, hot springs resort Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei.
The resort, which has 107 guest rooms and villas, boasts extensive hot springs and spa facilities, with the hot springs area incorporating five outdoor and two indoor hot springs pools. Other amenities in the hot springs area include a fitness centre, a yoga studio and a beauty salon.
In addition to the hot springs area, the Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei also features a 1,200sq m spa. Comprising nine double treatment rooms: five deluxe double rooms, three standard double rooms and one royal double room, the spa also houses a hair salon.
Signature treatments include the Yin Yang Rainmist, a hydrothermal experience fusing rain shower and steam bath elements with a body scrub and massage and the Royal Banyan – incorporating a herbal pouch massage, a lemongrass and cucumber body scrub and a jade facial.
Other property trademark treatments are the Yin Rainmist and Yang Rainmist, experiences; the former using soya mint body scrub and orange honey body conditioner to soothe and calm the body and the latter applying an oriental herbal body scrub and a creamy spice body conditioner to nurture the skin and relieve muscle strain and tension.
