Interior lust: 6 salons we're loving this week
By assistant editor Lucy Douglas
This month I’ve been looking at salon design, and looking what makes a great salon once you take away the products, the treatments and even the team. As someone who has zero design skills whatsoever, I never fail to be impressed with the creativity and resourcefulness that goes into a fantastic interior.
On the other hand, you shouldn’t underestimate the importance of a salon’s style. Yes, customer service and excellent treatment delivery are key to success, but we’re shallow creatures, and your clients will form their first impressions based on what you look like. A truly outstanding design is what might get them through the door in the first place.
Here’s a look at some of the salon interiors I’m loving at the moment:
Ena Salon, Covent Garden
Mill Wheel Spa, The Three Horseshoes, Peak District
Gina Conway, Wimbledon
Seed hair and beauty salon, London
The Potting Shed, North Yorkshire
The Spa at Dolphin Square, London
