JW Marriott to open first European resort

JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its first resort in Europe in March 2015. The 266-room property will be located on its own island in Venice, Italy. 

Amenities at the hotel will include a 1,750sq m spa with eight treatment rooms, including a spa suite, an indoor and an outdoor pool, a gym and a hammam. The spa will be operated by Goco Hospitality. 

The hotel will also feature a family pool, a kid’s club, four restaurants, five bars, including a rooftop bar, a wine academy and a cooking school. Water sports such as sailing and canoeing will also be on offer at the hotel.
