Kagi Maldives Spa Island to focus on lifestyle coaching

Set to open in July 2020, the Kagi Maldives Spa Island resort will house a 16,150sq ft spa and wellness hub, featuring an open-air teardrop-shaped floating yoga pavilion at its centre.

The Baani Spa at Kagi, situated in the Maldives’ North Male Atoll, will offer a personalised programme that will take guests on a wellness journey, with the aim to release, restore and regain.

Positioned at the lagoon of the island, the wellness spa will consist of four treatment rooms, as well as outdoor bathing facilities. A relaxation lounge, beauty salon, yoga and sound-healing studio will also be on site, along with steam rooms and a wellness boutique.

Treatments on offer at the five-star resort will include alternative therapies such crystal and sound healing, alongside lifestyle, nutrition and health coaching to treat the mind, body and soul.

The sessions have been designed to offer a 360-degree approach to wellness and will complement the range of beauty and massage treatments on offer.

For those looking to improve their fitness, tai chi, qigong, yoga and Pilates will all be on offer, with a rotation of visiting expert practitioners providing dedicated retreats at the island resort.

The wellness hub will also feature a juice bar, offering a variety of energising and nutritious drinks, as well as a state-of-the-art gym, two restaurants, three bars, a dive centre and a house reef.

The spa will form the focal point of the new 50-villa boutique resort, which will also feature a gym, two restaurants, three bars, a dive centre and a house reef.
