Longevity Wellness Worldwide opens second resort in Portugal

A new wellbeing property, the Longevity Cegonha Country Club, is opening in Portugal on July 1.

Longevity Cegonha Country Club, located near the village of Vilamoura on Portugal’s Algarve coast, will have 14 treatment rooms, and a wide range of spa and wellness facilities, services and programmes.

Features will include an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre, as well as tennis courts, a body and mind activities room, relaxation areas, the Pure spa café and the Detox and Relax Wet Area Circuit.

The circuit comprises a steam room, salt room, infrared sauna, shower tunnel experience, ice fountain and heated outdoor multijet swimming pool.

The spa and wellness offering also includes the Premium Detox and Wellness Area, where a range of the wellness and medical services that form part of the Longevity Wellness concept are offered.

These include detox and weight loss treatments, wellness consultations, stress management, craniosacral therapy, osteopathy, nutrition consultations, manual lymphatic drainage and guided meditation. Treatments in the spa area range from facials and massages, to body scrubs and longer spa rituals.

Under the Longevity Plan umbrella, all guests over the age of 16 have complimentary access to a selection of sport, fitness and other leisure activities.

These include yoga, pilates, stretching, tai chi, meditation, cardio sessions, dance classes and bike tours. As part of the health-focused cuisine, the resort will offer low-carb, low-calorie, gluten-free and vegetarian options.

There will also be a mix of spa and wellness programmes, including options centred around detoxing, slimming down, pampering, rebalancing, getting fit, relaxing, and combining detox with wellness.

Longevity Cegonha Country Club will be the second location for Longevity Wellness Worldwide, joining the existing Vilalara Longevity Thalassa & Medical Spa, also in Portugal’s Algarve region.
