Louella Belle founder Lisa Crook passes away following battle with cancer

Lisa Crook, founder and chief executive of distributor Louella Belle, passed away on December 24 following a fight with cancer.
She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago but recovered well after treatment and led a full life, growing Louella Belle into a large nail and beauty distribution company, which is now home to major brands including Morgan Taylor, Artistic Nail Design, Seche, Ardell, Salt of the Earth, Famous Names, Footlogix and more.
The illness returned at the beginning of 2017 and, following a tough battle, she passed away peacefully in December.
Lisa Crook is survived by her husband Charles and by her sons Darren and Jamie Crook, both directors of Louella Belle.
Darren and Jamie Crook said the loss had left “a huge hole in our world” and added, “Whilst our mum is sadly no longer with us, we will continue her work with pride and humility. Through Louella Belle, her legacy will live on.”
Lisa Crook was also a major supporter of breast cancer charity Future Dreams and was instrumental in establishing its annual Nail Breast Cancer campaign. The charity said in a statement: “Nail Breast Cancer was originally Lisa’s idea and this campaign is her legacy and will continue in her memory. Lisa believed supporting all those touched by breast cancer, especially as it had affected herself and her family. It has been an honour and privilege to know this smart, special lady.”
