Minor Hotel Group acquires 50% stake in Per Aquum

Minor Hotel Group has acquired a 50% share in luxury spa, resort and retreat group Per Aquum, investing £2.6m (US$4m) into the business. 

The move sees Minor, whose brand holdings also include Anantara, Mspa International and Avani Hotels & Resorts, add the there Per Aquum resorts; the Huvafen Fushi and the Niyama in the Maldives and the Desert Palm in Dubai, to its hotel and resorts portfolio. The Minor property portfolio now incorporates 91 hotels and resorts in 12 countries around the world. 
 
Dillip Rajakarier, chief executive of the Minor Hotel Group, said of the acquisition: “We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our ever-expanding portfolio of brands across Asia. Per Aquum is a well-respected and exclusive brand and we look forward to having the opportunity to develop it further.”
