Mobile therapist of 20 years opens first beauty salon in Chelmsford
Mobile therapist Iona Walshaw has opened her first beauty salon in Elm Garden Centre in Bicknacre, Chelmsford after running services from her home for 20 years.
Walshaw made the decision to open Enhance Beauty and Nails after her mobile business in Maldon had grown so much “that it was becoming too big to manage completely from home, so the time was right to purchase my own salon to take the next step,” she said.
“The great thing about it is that a lot of my customers have followed me wherever I’ve moved to, so I’ve managed to build up a wide variety of customers from around the county.”
The salon, situated between other independent businesses, offers high-quality treatments for hands, nails and feet, as well as lash extensions, brow wax and shape, and facials.
“The garden centre has some great businesses who have made me feel at home since I first bought the salon, and I’m really looking forward to giving my clients an even better service from a brand new salon that’s not just a section in my house.”
Walshaw’s regular clients plus locals were invited to the opening on March 16 to take a tour of the premises while raising money for Farleigh Hospice on the day – accumulating £521 for the charity.
