New spa manager appointed at Stanley House

The award-winning Stanley House Hotel & Spa in Lancashire has appointed a new spa manager.

Sarah Wellfair joins the spa at Stanley House from The House of Elemis in London, the British brand’s flagship boutique and treatments space.

Wellfair, who began as a therapist, has 13 years spa and beauty industry experience. Past roles include working as a therapist onboard Celebrity Cruises and in French ski resort Val d'Isère.

Wellfair said: “I’ve seen a lot of the world but the views at Stanley House really are breathtaking. I’m used to busy city life but I’m loving life in the country. It’s a great environment to live and work in and I’m thriving in my new role at Stanley House.”

Facilities at the Stanley House spa include five treatment rooms, private rasul, steam and hydro bathing spa suites and a thermal area with a herbal and a Finish sauna, a salt infusion room, aroma steam room, hydrotherapy, ice fountain and experience showers.

There is also a gym and a pilates studio and a special spa refreshments menu. The spa works with Spanish skincare brand Natura Bissé and Britihs brand Ila.

Philip Wharton, general manager of Stanley House Hotel and Spa, said of Wellfair’s appointment: “Sarah’s faltering dedication to ensuring guests have a seamless experience means she is well placed to head up our spa.

"This will ensure Stanley House retains its place as one of the UK’s top spa destinations. She’s a welcome addition to the Stanley House family.”
